When You Say Nothing At All
from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/When_You_Say_Nothing_at_All

The song's first cover version came in 1995, when Alison Krauss & Union Station recorded the song, taking their version to #3 on the Country Tracks chart. Shortly thereafter, country station KKBQ of Houston, Texas started playing a version which dubbed the Keith and Alison versions.

It was also covered by Irish singer Ronan Keating for the soundtrack to the film Notting Hill. The song would also appear on Keating's solo debut album Ronan the following year. Keating's version of "When You Say Nothing At All" was released as a single in the third quarter of 1999 and reached number one on the United Kingdom singles chart, where it became Keating's first number one solo single. It also reached the top position in Ireland. In the UK, the single was certified gold. Keating re-recorded the single as a duet with Mexican singer Paulina Rubio which was released in Mexico and Latin America in 2003 to promote a hits compilation. Steven McLachlan’s version was recorded in 2003 and featured on 2 of his albums “Inspiration” & “The Way The Story Goes” respectively. It was also a massive digital hit for the singer, staying at #1 on the Australian Country-Pop Digital Charts for 6 months, as well as charting on many other charts & being the singers most popular recording to date.

Nine Million Bicycle by Katie Melua

LIVE

There are nine million bicycles in Beijing
That's a fact
It's a thing we can't deny
Like the fact that I will love you till I die
We are twelve billion light years from the edge
That's a guess
No-one can ever say it's true
But I know that I will always be with you
I'm warmed by the fire of your love everyday
So don't call me a liar
Just believe everything that I say
There are six billion people in the world
More or less
And it makes me feel quite small
But you're the one I love the most of all
We're high on the wire
With the world in our sight
And I'll never tire
Of the love that you give me every night
There are nine million bicycles in Beijing
That's a fact
It's a thing we can't deny
Like the fact that I will love you till I die
And there are nine million bicycles in Beijing
And you know that I will love you till I die

The Closest Thing To Crazy"强登英国金榜Top 10。 The Closest Thing To Crazy翻唱成了「谁会相信」。

格雷(David Gray)的专辑《Life In Slow Motion》顺利登顶。

I like this song because it is a simple juxtaposition of a trivial idea against an important idea。
